Description:
The linguistics program at Cal State Fullerton offers a major, a minor, and an MA program in linguistics. We offer classwork in all subfields of linguistics, with special strengths in formal syntax, language typology, and historical linguistics. All of our programs can be combined with certificates in TESOL or concentrations in specific languages, including Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Individual faculty members have a research focus on Austronesian languages and Chin languages. Our MA program has seven concentrations, including Language and Mind, Language and Society, and others.
