Chicken with Coffee Sauce
Story behind this recipe
This is one of my favorite recipes. Since I obey Jewish religious laws for food (Kashrut), there are plenty of "cultural elements", too.
6 pieces chicken
1 cup strong coffee (made from instant coffee)
2 tbsp onion soup mix
2 tbsp fried onion
1/2 tsp sugar
1 cup mushrooms, fresh or canned
Preheat oven to 460°F/240°C.
Place chicken pieces in a baking dish. Add remaining ingredients. Cover the dish and cook for 30 min. Remove the lid and cook for another 30 min.
