Ingredients

3 veće sipe
domaće maslinovo ulje
6 sridnjih kumpirov
sol
papar
po kapule (po želji)
kvasina (po želji)
zlica kušerve
šaka petresimula
valjana domaća manestra ili lomljeni špageti

3 large cuttlefish
extra virgin olive oil
6 medium size potatoes
salt
pepper
1/2 onion (optional)
vine vinegar (optional)
1 tbsp tomato paste
few sprigs of parsley
home made egg noodles like linguine or cut up spaghetti

Cooking Instructions

Sipe očistiti i od kosti i crnila. Cile ji profrižiti na
maslinovon ulju u teči, dodati
kumpire, soli i politi vodon da pokrije.
Kad je kuvano, jedan kumpir ostaviti u
teči, a druge i sipu izvati u zdilu. Iskrižati kumpire
na kockice i sipe na trakice, začiniti
maslinovin uljon, soli i papra i po želji kapulon na
fetice i kvasinon.
U nu vodu prognječiti naj kumpir što je ostaja,
dodati kušervu, petresimul i neka kuva oko po ure.
Na kraju dodati manestru i juha je gotova kad se
manestra skuva.

Clean the fish. In a soup pot, heat some olive oil,
saute the whole fish. Add peeled whole potatoes,
salt and water to cover. When it is cooked (soft)
leave one potato in a pot and take the rest and
the fish out in the bowl. Cut potatoes in cubes
and the fish in strips, season with salt and pepper,
olive oil and if you like, onion slices and vinegar.
Mash the leftover potato through a sieve into the
soup, add tomato paste and parsley and let it
boil for about half an hour at med. heat. In the end,
add some noodles, preferably homemade. The soup
is done when noodles are cooked.
