Danube Delight: A Central European Cheese Cake

Story behind this recipe
This recipe is Czech in origin and was passed to my mother, a Russian living in Hungary, from a Russian friend of hers living in Prague. It is now spreading through Hungary (due to the informal efforts of my friends and I).
Its most important ingredient, Farmer's cheese, a quintessential Central European dairy product, makes it a truly Central European dessert.
1 cup sugar
6 oz margarine
2 cups Farmer's Cheese (unsalted)
1 cup Farina (Quick, not Istant)
2 tsp baking powder
Any combination of walnuts, raisins, candied fruit, and/or dried cranberries (Craisins), to taste
Butter and breadcrumbs to coat baking pan
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Mix together and beat sugar and eggs, add margarine and beat until well blended. Mix in Farmer's cheese, then Farina. Add baking powder. Fold in walnuts etc. Butter bunt pan and coat with breadcrumbs.
Bake for 30-40 minutes or until top is golden brown.
Keep cake in pan for about 10 minutes before getting it out onto a plate. (You might also need to run a knife around the edges to un-stick the cake from the pan.)
Can be prepared a day in advance, and keeps fresh for a couple of days.
